There are a lot of problems in this life and everyone deals with their problems in a different way. Some are succumbed to their problems and withdraw from life by hiding in a shell of depression. Some will live in a life that is full of heartaches and sorrow and grieving over what went wrong. Some will just give up and end their life. It makes no difference of what kind of problems a person might have, it could be within the members of their family, or within a marriage, or financial, sickness or death of a loved one. Problems will lead to a troubled soul.
When your soul is troubled them all of your mind is troubled. There is no peace within you and there is no way that you can hide it. Your nights are turned into sleepless night and your days are full of distress. Your enjoyment of life is now full of pain, worries and stress. Who can you turn to? Who can help you?
You can confide in a friend, but can they resolve your problems and free your soul? You can seek medical help, but can they remove your problems or fix them? Who can you turn to that can fix and remove all of your heartaches, sorrow, grieving and depression of the soul. There is such a person and his name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are different accounts of how Jesus stepped into the life of people that no one could help. People that no one cared about, people who were an outcast, people who were disable. People that demons wanted to destroy.
One account is in Luke 7:37-38. What kind of woman was she, we only know that she was a sinner? It could be that she was a prostitute. A woman that is considered as unclean and an outcast. Maybe someone told her about Jesus, maybe she stood in the back of a crowd and listened to the words of Jesus. Maybe she went home, and the words of Jesus began to sink into her soul. Maybe she began to cry with tears of despair. Maybe her tears of despair turned into hope for deliverance. Hope for deliverance from the troubles that she bore. Hope that would change her life. Hope that no one else can give. This woman so full of grief and knowing that the people around Jesus would reject her but she was determined to go to The Problem Solver. “And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment”. She found “The problem Solver” and so can you.
Another account is in Luke 8:26-40. This is an unusual event because no where is it stated that someone told Jesus about this person. No one went to Jesus about this man however Jesus went to him. Maybe some mother, father, brother, sister or just a friend was praying for his deliverance. Maybe those prayers were carried on the wings of the wind to the ears of Jesus. All that we know is that Jesus went to the other side. There Jesus cast out the demons that controlled this person. But this man wanted to go with Jesus however Jesus told him to go and tell the people what the Lord did for him. To me he became the first missionary. He told the people about Jesus and when Jesus returned the crowd was waiting for Jesus. Someone was praying for him and all of the problems that he had and “The problem Solver” set that man free. Verses 39-40”, “Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him”.
Another account is in Mark 5:25-31. Many sermons have been preached about this woman. She had her problems with sickness called an issue of blood. For twelve long years she was troubled and there was no one who could help. But one day someone told her about Jesus and that Jesus could heal her because they have saw his healing powers. I wonder what kind of hope was building up in her as she listened to what other people were saying about this one called Jesus. Within her mind she had to go to this one who is “The Problem Solver”. She knew that Jesus could and can heal her. She went believing and expecting to receive her healing. All that she needed to do was to reach out and touch his garment. She had placed all of her hope in this one called Jesus and her faith in “The Problem Solver” who healed her. Verses 28-29, “For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague”. If only we would place all of our faith in this one who is “The Problem Solver” then our troubles and problems will vanish away.
A Christian should always take their troubles and problems to Jesus in prayer and believe that Jesus is indeed “The Problem Solver”. If you know not Jesus, then it is time to fall on your knees and reach out to Jesus in your prayers and then be baptized in the name of “The Problem Solver” and God will give to you His Spirit. There is no problem too big and there is no problem too small for Jesus. Just as the song goes, “take it to the Lord in prayer”.
Psalms 104:33-34, “I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord”. Don’t wait because Jesus is “The Problem Solver”.
