Easter Holiday is over, and it becomes a thing in the past until the next Easter Holiday. Too many will not consider the real meaning of the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Too many only consider the Holiday called Easter. It becomes the Easter Egg hunt and the Easter Bunny and a time for new clothes for Easter Sunday. The Sermon use to be about the Death, Burial and Resurrection however too many sermons are no longer about the crucifixion, the death and coming forth from the tomb.

Too many will partake in the Communion Service and eat the bread and drink the wine

however it is only a symbol to them and without meaning.

However, there are those who believe in the real meaning of the Communion Service. The meaning of the Bread is more than just eating the bread it is more than just a symbol because by FAITH it is real. Jesus said that the bread is His flesh and when you eat the bread then you are eating His flesh and if you eat His flesh then Jesus is inside of you but there is more to eating the bread called the flesh of Jesus and that is the WORD was made flesh. If the bread represents the flesh of Jesus, then the flesh also represents the WORD of God. Eating the Bread is taking into your body and soul the flesh of Jesus and the WORD of God. The wine represents His Blood. By Faith the wine is turned into the Blood of the Lamb of God. That Blood will wash your soul and your robe will become whiter than snow. Your robe will become a snow white robe of Righteousness. But the Blood represents more and that is the renewing of the Covenant between you and Jesus. The Bread and wine in Communion Service are not a symbol because it is REAL.

There are songs about the Blood of Jesus and people will sing these songs and they will praise the Lord for the Blood, but they forget about that trail of Blood that came from Jesus on his way to Calvary. It all started in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was praying. Jesus knew the agony that was waiting for him. His praying was a struggle of life and a struggle of death. Just knowing that the Cross of Calvary was waiting for him produced the extreme pain and anguish of his mind. It was such a struggle and stressful knowledge that produce an emotional pressure of stress that His sweat was as drops of Blood.

From the Garden the trail leads to the judgment of the Sanhedrin and the High Priest. From the High Priest to Pontius Pilate from Pilate to the whipping post, to the crown of thorns. Condemned by the Jews and executed by Pilate the pathway to Calvary was covered with mocking, laughter and cries of sorrow as Jesus fell under the burden of the cross. There the Lord of lords and King of kings fell to the ground under the cross. A man called Simon a Cyrenian was commanded by the Romans to carry the cross. Simon saw a man whose back was covered with opened wounds and the blood coming from the massive opened flesh. He saw a face that was bruised and covered in blood. There on the place called Calvary they nailed his hands and his feet to the cross. The crowd mocked him as His Blood fell to the earth. Even at death they took a spear and pierced his side and Blood and water came forth.

Some will say that Jesus died from suffocation on the cross, but a better reason is that Jesus poured out His Blood for all of humanity. So, when you sang the song of Washed in the Blood then remember that trail of Blood. When you sang the song that there is Power in the Blood then remember that trail of Blood. When you claim the Blood of Jesus then remember how Jesus Poured out His Blood.

Let us never forget that horrible treatment that Jesus received. He went through that torment of the cross just for you and me.
